Terms & refunds

By using the free check or buying a packet, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose.

What we do

We compare your home's assessed value with recent sales of similar homes nearby. If you buy a packet, we give you that evidence, the county form that fits your situation, and step-by-step filing instructions. You file the appeal yourself.

What we don't do

• We're not part of the Los Angeles County Assessor or the Assessment Appeals Board.
• We're not lawyers, tax advisors or licensed appraisers. Nothing we send is legal or tax advice.
• We don't file for you, and we don't represent you at hearings.
• We can't promise the county will lower your value. The county decides.
• Meeting the county's deadline (November 30, 2026 for this year) is your responsibility. Order early.

Prices

• Free check: free.
• Appeal packet: $49 per home, one time.
• Rush delivery (optional): $19. Your packet within 6 hours instead of 24.
• Hearing prep kit (optional): $29.

Prices are in US dollars and include any applicable tax. The county charges its own fee ($46) if you file a formal appeal (AAB-100). The Decline-in-Value Review (RP-87) is free.

Delivery

We email your packet as a PDF within 24 hours of your order (within 6 hours with rush delivery). If we need more details to finish it, we'll ask by email, and the clock starts once you reply.

Refunds

• No evidence, full refund. If we find no sales showing your home's tax value is too high, we tell you and refund the full $49, along with any add-ons.
• Late delivery. If your packet is late, we refund the rush fee. If it's more than 48 hours late, we refund everything if you ask.
• Changed your mind before delivery. Email us before we send your packet and we'll refund you in full.
• After delivery. Packets are made for your specific home. Once delivered, refunds are only given under the "no evidence" promise above, or if something we sent is wrong and we can't fix it.

To ask for a refund, email hello@propertytaxappealnow.com with your order email. Refunds go back to your card within 5–10 business days.

Accuracy

We use public records and public sales data, which can contain errors. Check your packet before filing, and tell us if anything about your home looks wrong.

Liability

If something goes wrong, the most we'll owe you is what you paid us. This doesn't limit any rights you have by law that can't be waived.
